25 March 2008 Post #51: Final Futbol Practice Tuesday, the kids were thrilled to find their parents home again! We got precious morning hugs, to make up for the many we had missed while in Italy, and then we listened to endless tales of all the exciting things they did. After they were settled down, we let them open some gifts. While in Italy, we had purchased an official futbol jersey for Addison, for his birthday. He was SO thrilled. He's been wearing it ever since! (It's Friday as I write this.) He actually takes great care of it, taking it off for meals and when it's raining. After lunch, Nichole, Rachel and David went to the crafts village and did some shopping for souvenirs. We enjoyed the glass-blowers working at their craft. We took video and lots of pictures, and now we need to open up a Youtube account, to share the video! Rachel and David found shards of glass outside the door of one of the factories, so they started to collect the pieces. We bought some souvenirs at a few of the village shops. Don't know if I have described the village for you in the past, but it's located in old barracks at the former naval air station. So each shop or factory is located in a quansit hut We returned in time to make dinner, but
first we stopped at the pitch to watch the boys' last scrimmage. I took
a lot of video...again, we need to do Youtube. We'll let you know
if/when we post any video. After this final futbol practice, Dave took
the camera to the gate of the pitch and asked the coaches if he could
get some pictures. The coaches crowded the team around them and put Ian
and Addison in the center front. We'll post that photo soon. Watch for
it in the Daily Life in Malta-March album. After dinner, it was too late to play cards or watch any movies, so we all just went to bed. Sure nice to be back with all our babies.
